Did you check out all of my
Currentlys ( yes, I know it's not a word) from yesterday?

Happy Monday All! I hope you had a great weekend I know mine was fab. I got a lot of work done for
Poppy and Pippa, caught up on TV shows from last week and we even went to the movie. Going to a movie is kinda a big deal for us because renting a movie on iTunes is so easy...and we don't have to leave the house. We went to the cheap theater ($2.50 each) and saw
The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo. It was so good! I can't wait for the next one to come out. There was action, suspense and even a little romance. I loved it and the 2 1/2 hours went by so fast I wasn't ready for it to end. I didn't read the book (I tried and gave up several times) but, I'm glad I didn't because the suspense was so awesome!
Next movie theatre movie I want to see: The Hunger Games - read the books and they were messed up and amazing all at once.

Highlighted Hair
As those of you who have been reading my blog will know I got my hair highlighted on Friday. I was so nervous because my hair was basically virgin hair. I'm not sure what I was nervous about but, I almost called and cancelled several times. Now that it's all done I'm so glad I did it! I am a natural blonde but it was looking sad. I wanted to brighten it up a bit and though most people will not be able to tell I had much done (which I wanted - au natural) I think it turned out just right.
Proof that I actually did it...

Pajama Pants in Public
Stacy and Clinton (from
What Not to Wear) would love to dress everyone in mid-rise jeans, a button up shirt and a blazer or cardigan. Maybe that doesn't fit everyone's personality but they were right about one thing - pajama pants should NOT be allowed in public. Either should slippers for that matter. What happened to dressing up or even putting on regular pants? Is it really that much easier to put on a pair of ridiculous looking pants than a pair of jeans? So, there are a few more buttons and zippers but, by now, we should all be able to do those basic tasks without even thinking. I am so discouraged by the way some people dress I wonder if they have any respect for themselves. To disclose I'm 35 and when I was in high school it was cool to wear button up tops - buttoned all the way to the top! Maybe not so cool but we would never imagine wearing pajamas to school.

I was sitting under the dryer at the salon
and this is what was across from me! |
I think the way you dress shows how you think of yourself or respect yourself and others. When I see a mom and daughter out shopping and the daughter is wearing PJ pants I'm wondering what's going through that mom's head..."I'm so proud of my daughter and her individual style." Yeah, I don't think so. Unfortunately, I think it shows how much young people respect their parents and how much parents want to be their child's friend. **Stepping off my soapbox now**
What has happened to style?
To be continued...
I love the 'currentlys' post! Also, it drives me absolutely crazy when people wear pjs out in public, especially if their moms are with them!
At first when I saw the PJ picture I thought it was you!
hahaha I was dying!
But your hair looks good :)
Happy Monday!
xo
Love the currentlys post. I thought it was very interesting!
I also agree about the pajama pants. The only reason that's okay is if you're going to the doctor or the hospital :). I thought your hair looked really good though. I also wanted to tell you that I featured P&P today and I absolutely adore the grey and yellow pin! Thank you so much and I am so excited about the giveaway!
